We took the Metro in to DC today to visit our Congressman, and take a tour of the Capitol. After learning all sort of interesting facts we departed to walk down the mall. Along the way we stopped at the Air and Space Museum, the American History Museum, The Washington Monument, The World War 2 Monument, The Lincoln Monument, and finally the Jefferson Monument before boarding the Metro for the ride home.

 

There is nothing like walking with 3 kids down a 2 mile mall with the temperatures in the mid 90’s. The classic moment was when we told Jakob that he would be happy later when he looked back at this event, and he said “what will you give me if I don’t”
