Today was more of a fun day for the kids. We first went to an old lighthouse, that was the first lighthouse built by Congress. Now, if I remember correctly, we saw the first lighthouse last year on the Chesapeake Bay. I guess it does not matter, they are both very old. This light house is on Fort Story, and the “new” light house is a few years short of 100 years. It was a serious work out to get to the top. We then went to the first landing of English, which was also located on the grounds of Fort story.
We then headed down to Virginia Beach to play in the ocean for a little bit. We played at a beach called Sandbridge which is south of the main Virginia Beach. After swimming and playing we headed back north to walk the boardwalk, and get some dinner.
