Last night Stefanie and I went to the Home Base Youth Services annual Doorway of Hope Dinner. This is a special event that we look forward to each year, and each year we are amazed at how much people are able give “on a whim”. Last night we watched as a couple donated 50,000 dollars, and then asked people in the audience to do the same. When they were done, in less than 10 minutes, they had raised over 230,000 dollars. The whole event raised almost 800,000 dollars.
